Teaser Tuesday



Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme graciously hosted by Should be Reading and asks you to :


  • 1. Grab your current read

  • 2. Open to a random page

  • 3. Share 2 "teaser"sentences also citing the title of the book and the author and in that way people can have great recommendations if they like the "teaser.

  • 4. Please avoid spoilers!


    This week I am stretching the rules by doubling the allotted sentences just to make it more sensible. I know, I know, no dessert or t.v. for me and I am grounded for a week for breaking the rules! She says with a dramatic sigh . This week's teaser is taken from Dead Man Docking ( bed and breakfast mystery series) by Mary Daheim



"It's not a breed," asserted Renie after swallowing the shrimp,"it's a conglomeration. It's got dreadlocks and no feet. It's a dog on wheels."

"The feet must be under all that curling fur," Judith said as the dog glided across the floor.

    I haven't come across this bed and breakfast mystery series - it looks good.

    My teasers don't usually follow the rules either!

    I break the rules all time! (After all, who really picks a random sentence?) And a good choice - sounds very entertaining.

    Sounds like a fun mystery. I'm not familiar with the series.

    Don't worry about the rules. Hard to follow and make a really good teaser. I've always thought rules were more like guidelines.

    I break the rules every week! I always leave a little post-it at a sentence that grabs me while I'm reading! If the rule breakers are banished we'll all just have to start our own meme!

    Whew! After the little teaser that Pudgy gave I wasn't sure what might be coming Tuesday! I knew it would be something good but it was a wee bit scary! That sounds like a good book. You always know where to find the best ones! :)

    Dogs seem to be the theme of teasers this week.

    I dont normally follow the rules with my teasers either but thats ok we can all be grounded together :)
