Amish Love

Amish Love

What’s all the hubbub about Amish fiction? Major media outlets like Time and ABC Nightline are covering it, and authors like Cindy Woodsmall are making the New York Times bestseller list regularly. What makes these books so interesting?

Check out the recent ABC Nightline piece here about Cindy and her titles When the Heart Cries, When the Morning Comes, and When the Soul Mends. It’s an intriguing look at Amish culture and the time Cindy has spent with Amish friends.

And don’t forget that Cindy’s new book The Hope of Refuge hits store shelves August 11, and is available for preorder now.

  1. These do sound interesting. I find the Amish lifestyle to be very interesting. Especially growing up in Great Britain, where we couldn't be further away from that type of lifestyle if we tried. I might see if I can get hold of these.

  4. I've noticed more and more of these types of books. We have a large Amish community nearby and it is a fascinating but hard lifestyle. I would love to read these.

  5. Being from central Ohio, we had an Amish community nearby and I was always fascinated by them. Remember the movie 'Witness'? I loved it! I wish more talk programs would feature more authors of fiction on their shows. These all sound like great books.
