Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading
and asks you to :
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Share 2 "teaser"sentences also citing the title of the book and the author and in that way people can have great recommendations if they like the "teaser.
4. Please avoid spoilers!
This week's teaser is taken from Cut, Crop & Die by Joanna Campbell Slan, a new scrapbooking mystery featuring Kiki Lowenstein that will be released on June 2nd. Review will be posted tomorrow. Guest post and contest for 2 books will be posted June 11th. Mark your calendars. "I got them this time. Fixed their little wagons good. Did you know that moles have three to five pups a litter? And they don't really dig? They sort of swim through the dirt? Their front paws scrape at the soil. The back legs push it like a back-stroker moves water. "
In my best imitation of Butterfly McQueen, I said, "Golly, Miss Sheila, I don't know nuttin' bout birthin' no moles, and that's the truth."
What fun, exciting or interesting teaser did you come across this week?
That's so funny. Must take place in the rural south somewhere? Atmosphere so far from scrapbooking! Good teaser!
ReplyDeleteThat is just the cutest teaser. Happy reading :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Teaser
Well a scrapbooking mystery is new one on me - not a phenomenon that's hit the UK yet! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLOL that is a funny one. I suppose with the popularity of scrap booking it was only a matter of time till a cosy mystery came out around it.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is here. Have a great week.
Cute teaser. I hope you're enjoying the book as it sounds funny. :)

ReplyDeleteI had no idea there were scrapbooking mysteries! Thanks for the teaser.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I don't usually hear moles talked about in mysteries.
ReplyDeleteI skipped Teaser Tuesday today to show the damage to our yard that could have been done by giant moles, but was really done by us: http://www.texasredbooks.com/2009/05/yard-work-or-giant-moles.html
Wonderful teaser! Loved it!

Scrapbook mystery? The teaser sounds like it's fun.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. Love this teaser. I'll be back for your review.
ReplyDeleteLOL - Great teaser - I love moles and was devastated when my father called a mole catcher in once - was lying on the grass cuddling a mound crying :)

I love the idea of a "scrapbooking mystery." That would go very nicely with the "home renovation mystery" I discovered at a library today. I guess you can write a mystery centred around any theme, can't you?
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser!
Ha, we have those little critters and their cousins the voles:(
ReplyDeletea scrapbooking mystery, now what is that? I'm interested just because of that little fact. Thanks for stopping by
ReplyDeleteI make cards, and do read some cozy mysteries, but haven't yet made it to scrapbooking mysteries.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Your teaser made me laugh. The last quote is one of my favorites from Gone With the Wind.
