Reading from My Shelves Project 2010

I had vowed not to do any challenges in 2010 and instead concentrate on reading the books I already own.
But, Diane from Bibliophile by the Sea has come up with the perfect challenge: Read from your shelves project for 2010. I am committing myself to 24. I should certainly be able to read 2 books a month for the challenge but I certainly hope to get many more off the shelves and out of here than 24. Most of them will not be reviewed.
Does this sound like something you'd like to do as well? If so, feel free to join in:
  • grab the button
  • decide how many books you want to read from your shelves (minimum of 20 - no maximum)
  • find a new home for the books once you read them
  • post the titles and the authors of books you've read and passed on
  • project runs from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010
  • crossover challenge books are allowed

  1. I'm also doing this challenge but haven't had the nerve to compile a list. I'm aiming for one or two books off the shelf/month. I think I have enough to do 4 or 5/month but that seems too daunting : ) Good luck to us!

  3. I love this one, but can't possibly commit to giving them away. I want to keep all my books, because I never know when I'll want to read them again. So I'm destined to own thousands of books. My challenge is to read as many as possible.

If it were food, I'd say "eyes bigger than stomach".

  5. Interesting how a smart idea can come from a simpIe premise. I had decided to do the same thing but not in such a fun and proactive way. Thanks for the great idea and thanks for including my book on your list.

  6. I think 2 of 3 challenges is excellent!! That's 2 more than I would have completed. I haven't done any challenges yet but this sounds like a good one. I'm considering making this my first. I have a lot of my own books to catch up on and I'm looking forward to all of them! Thanks Kaye! This is a great idea!

**As always, Pudgy is too darn cute!! I think he really likes those costumes. Will he be Baby New Year too? :D

I haven't signed up for any of the challenges yet - but I think I will and this is certainly a good one!

I will post my list and join this challenge, but I can't guarantee that I will complete this one either. I am just no good at these challenges.
