Well, it's finally done! When we lived up north we had a large tree but since we retired to Florida, our tree has gotten smaller and smaller. We first put up a 5' tree and then went to a 4' one in a regular stand. Now we're down to this pre-lit 3' tree in a pot that we put at the front door. It has become my theme tree. Here it is in all it's naked glory. I added a few of my favorite ornaments and voila!
Blogger is driving me absolute bonkers with the format. I cannot get pics to go where I want them and cannot type in prose where I want it. Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix this?
I might see a theme there ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about blogger, but I think that's the perfect tree for you!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I find that if I use the HTML box after I uploaded my pictures I can usually put the words where I want them. Hope that helps.
ReplyDeletehmmmmm..could it be Pudgy's relatives? lol Love the ornaments. The same here, the tree gets smaller as we get older lol.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Who would have thought you'd have penguins on your tree? ;)
ReplyDeleteThat tree is perfect for you! Those little penguin ornaments are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI always format my stuff in html in blogger or it usually doesn't turn out too well.
it is very subtle, but I think I may have figured it out, just maybe.
ReplyDeleteI love your tree!! And the last time I tried to help you I really buggered up your page!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Theme trees are so fun too, I think!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I can't help with Blogger but I sure love the penguins. You must have some special place you find those because I've never seen them.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...a theme. Hard to figure it out it is so subtle! : )
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm out of Blogger now for exactly the reasons you describe!
I have not put a tree up in over 10 years, but yours is a size a could handle...LOL Looks great to me.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect theme! Unfortunately, I have to share my theme with my hubby who likes moose. So we have a moose/penguin tree. I do believe my penguins are winning, however!
ReplyDeletePerfect :D I love your tree and can see myself with a similar one (minus the penguins, haha. Those are YOUR trademark) someday!
ReplyDeleteI always had a problem with pics in Blogger, which is one of the reasons why I was happy to be rid of it!
ReplyDeleteThe Girl would absolutely love your tree! We each by a new ornament every year, and hers was, of course, a penguin.
I love the fact you have penguins on your tree.
ReplyDeleteIs the theme Christmas Tree?
ReplyDeleteHow cute are those ornamtents! I love it.
Penguins -- who would have guessed :)
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have one or two penguins on your tree, Kaye. Sorry you seem to be getting our winter down there. If it makes you feel any better, it feels like the Arctic Circle here. :-\
ReplyDeleteYou need tinsel!!
ReplyDeleteThe ornaments are just adorable!!
ReplyDeletepenguins--how perfect. Have a Merry Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteon the pictures. I load all the pictures I want onto the picture browser. Then push the button "add selected". My pictures load onto my page. This is the weird part but it works. I start typing. When I'm ready to insert the picture I highlight it, copy and paste it where I want it to be in the post and then go back and remove the original. I'm with you, blogger sure made putting pictures into posts difficult.
I'm not very adept at maneuvering images. Which is why mine are always centered at the top or within the body. Whenever I try to wrap text around them it gets ugly. I do not know the proper steps within HTML but I know it can be done that way. You just need to know how to format the code properly.
ReplyDeleteLove your tree - what a nice way to reflect you and keep a little bit of your winter roots with you during the holidays!
Love the small tree and the theme. You're not the only downsizing with the decorating :) Blogger goes bonkers from time to time and I have no idea why. sorry :)
