Please don't post random photos that you find online.
Until I learn complicated new software photo edit TBG insisted on buying,(*sigh*) I'm still playing around with picmonkey. I took a simple photo (testing out new camera CanonSX260hs) and applied some effects. I'm loving the B & W with color focus.
What's your fave? What photo edit program (if any) do you use?

b/w color focus /frost effect |

b/w color focus darkened edges

The first is my favorite. I like the framing of the tree and then the color leading to the B&W reflections. Looks like you'll have fun learning new tricks :)
ReplyDeleteI like the first one too. I love Picmonkey!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! I also enjoy PicMonkey, and after partaking of the "free" samples, I had to spring for the upgrade when the "free" ones were no longer free...lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
I like the third one with the darkened edges.. I like seeing the whole tree. Very awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteI love all three! I got a new camera for Christmas and now I need to learn to use it!!
ReplyDeleteI like them all! I don't use an editing program, guess I should play around with one!
ReplyDeleteWow...nice photos....great editing. I like the first one.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
Stop by my blog if you like for a photo of snowy Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

My Saturday Snapshot
Ooo these are gorgeous!! I love the frost effect.
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo! I think blending color with b/w is so pretty! =)
ReplyDeleteI think the first looks best. Happy New Year, Kaye!
ReplyDeleteI like the first shot. By not showing the entire tree the eye is drawn to the green and the water.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo editing software is called ACDSee Pro for photographers. It's really easy but that may be because I've been using it for 4 years. I have ver2 and they are on ver6 now so it may have gotten more complicated.
For more complex editing I use Photoshop Elements 10, but I have to keep looking up how to do stuff. That one is new.
I love the way the color in the first show plays up the greenery in the water, but the frost effect is very soft and pretty.

I like the one with the color focus the best. My husband got me Adobe Photoshop Elements last year and I'm still learning all of the ins and outs.
ReplyDeleteI like the first pic with the hint of colour :-)
ReplyDeleteBear With Me....they are all interesting♫ Be safe in the New Year♥
ReplyDeleteI like the first one the best. I haven't played around with this photo programs enough to recommend one, but the APPS I have on my phone are: Quick Shot; Photobucket; face plant; and A Effects.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Kaye
i need to get back into using Photoshop and playing around with photos.
ReplyDeletePretty! We use Lightroom for organizing photos and simple fixes. With the number of travel photos we take, that's often all I have time for. I'd like to learn to use Photoshop or PSE to do some enhancements and play with things, but mostly, I use PSE to make little graphics for my blog from clip art.

Oh I like your playing around! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteSo clever and so pretty! Isn't it fun to play with photos? And quite easy too! I'm glad you reminded me about PicMonkey. I don't think to use it that often because I use Picasa which includes link to Picnik for addition special effects. I just downloaded Gimp last week but haven't used it much yet. I found all of these through other people and they were all free! I spend a lot of time working on my photos but it's such fun! It's handy to see other people's ideas here as well. :)
