Saturday Snapshot . . . what's for lunch

Saturday Snapshot (originally hosted by At Home with Books) is now hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads. To participate in this meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

While reading Caite's (A Lovely Shore Breeze) post for Weekend Cooking, I loved her idea of using cookie cutters to cut out fruit. Mine didn't come out as good as her stars. TBG was slicing cantaloupe and can't cut straight to save his soul (well, neither can I for that matter) so my "Pengaloupes" came out in varied thicknesses. They're still cute, though!  Right???

Next time I'm going to try watermelon and use my really BIG penguin cookie cutter. Yes, I do have them in several sizes. Doesn't everyone?

  12. Pengaloupes, that made me laugh. At first I thought they were misshaped carrot sticks!

  13. The pengaloupes are adorable!!! I cut some star-shaped watermelon for our 4th of July fruit platter. It was the first time I've used cookie cutters on fruit, but won't be the last.
