2011 Reading From My Shelves Project

This is one of my favorite challenges. This year I pledged to read 24 books from my shelves and ended up reading 68. I was thrilled to see that Diane of  Bibliophile by the Sea  is once again hosting the challenge. If you would like to sign up here are the details :
  • Challenge runs from January 1 - December 31, 2011.
  • Read books from your own shelves, and then pass the books on to someone else: a friend, relative, the library, used book store, swap them, just as long as the book leaves your house once it has been read.
  •  Decide on your goal (12 is the minimum - no maximum). Cross over books are allowed.
  • Grab the button and do a post about the challenge.
  • Keep a running list of the books you've read and passed on.
  • Leave a comment with a link to your post and you are entered (no Mr. Linky). Have Fun and GOOD LUCK!
I am committing to 48 books. That's  twice last year's original goal of 24 but I hope to get more than that off the shelves and into a new home. As per last year, the majority of these will just be rated and not reviewed, maybe a little blurb that I liked/didn't like.

  1. I really want to get a lot of my books read. Then, give them away. This challenge will help me stay on track. Thanks for giving it.

  2. Yay! This challenge is so great I don't know why everyone doesn't join. I've started rating non-arc review books or linking to my brief Goodreads review. I just don't have time to devote to longer blog reviews at this point so I like your rating idea.

  5. This is a great idea for a challenge. I wish I'd joined it in 2010. I also like your rating but not big review idea.
