The picturesque Victorian island is getting ready to close down for the season, but Louis hopes to forge a relationship with Lily that will last forever. But when Lily takes a fall onto a pile of old bones in an abandoned hunting lodge, the vacation’s over.

When the island’s inexperienced police chief asks for Louis’s help on what turns out to be a stone cold case, he reluctantly agrees. His reluctance only grows when he discovers the state investigator is Norm Rafsky, who had worked with Louis’s girlfriend Joe Frye fifteen years ago. When Joe returns to the island to help, she and Louis must confront the simmering tension between her and Rafsky, and yet stay focused on finding a dangerous killer who may still be in the area….
