On the Blue Ridge Parkway to Linville Falls, NC |
Showing the two differnt trails (we're wimps, we took the easy one) |
Interesting tree along the path to the falls |
we loved the rock formations |
and the shadows and sunlight on the rocks |
This is at far as we could go on the "easy" path |
The scenery is gorgeous! I would have been on the easy path too.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Kaye. I love the Blue Ridge Pkwy tree colors!
ReplyDeleteIt looks a lovely walk, even if it was along the easy path- at least you're out there amongst it all. What a lovely day- they're great photos.
ReplyDeleteYour photos make me long for those mountains. Great shots. My husband and I honeymooned in Ashville and we've vacationed in the Blue Ridge and Smokies a few times. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteI want to visit the Blue Ridge mountains...I have read some lovely books set there, but would love seeing them in actuality.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and thanks for visiting my blog.
Yes! I want to visit the Blue Ridge mountains too. North Carolina is on my "bucket list" of places to visit. Thanks for the great photos.

ReplyDeleteLovely shots. That first one is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have never done the Blue Ridge Parkway but it is on my list. The pic with the blue sky and autumnal colors is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots. It looks like a great vacation spot. Is this is western North Carolina?
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful scenery. Someday I hope to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains, hopefully while I am still able to do some hiking!
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Ridge Parkway is a gorgeous drive! And we've had such nice weather so far this fall - how nice to enjoy the color!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the fall leaves! And I always like the streams as they bubble and churn over the rocks.
ReplyDeleteI'd take the easy trail too. :-)
Thanks for sharing.
Those rocks are cool looking! The hills in the distance look very blue.
ReplyDeleteSuch great shots. There's nothing quite like a nice hike [even on the easier path] through nature. Look at the tenacity of that tree, gripping the earth.
ReplyDeleteAnd the rushing water. All so nice, natural and fresh.
Wow, what a beautiful vista in that first shot!
ReplyDeleteYes, love that first shot. What a beautiful fall you're having. Enjoy the others too... something I've to wait till next summer to see in our neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots Kaye. I traveled the Blue Ridge Mountains in October in WVA on business one year . It was breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteBear With Me...Nice sequence of photos♫♪
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I would have chosen the easy path, too ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe colors are gorgeous!! I would've taken the easy path too!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos - we love the area! We have been to the Smokies several times but always on the TN side - looks like we need to see the NC side, too. Great pics.

Love the top photo, Kaye!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures, Kaye. It's been years since we've been to that area. We've stayed in Valle Crucis (near Boone) a couple of times at the Mast Farm Inn. Loved it! Wish we could get back there again sometime soon. We have family in Durham, so maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! You were there at the right time to get some nice foliage!
