Saturday Snapshot

Snapshot Saturday is hosted by Alyce of At Home with Books. To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.

Shots from our recent vacation to Banner Elk, NC and some surrounding areas.

On the Blue Ridge Parkway to Linville Falls, NC

Showing the two differnt trails (we're wimps, we took the easy one)

Interesting tree along the path to the falls

we loved the rock formations

and the shadows and sunlight on the rocks

This is at far as we could go on the "easy" path

  3. It looks a lovely walk, even if it was along the easy path- at least you're out there amongst it all. What a lovely day- they're great photos.

  13. Oh I love the fall leaves! And I always like the streams as they bubble and churn over the rocks.
I'd take the easy trail too. :-)

  15. Such great shots. There's nothing quite like a nice hike [even on the easier path] through nature. Look at the tenacity of that tree, gripping the earth.
And the rushing water. All so nice, natural and fresh.

  23. Gorgeous pictures, Kaye. It's been years since we've been to that area. We've stayed in Valle Crucis (near Boone) a couple of times at the Mast Farm Inn. Loved it! Wish we could get back there again sometime soon. We have family in Durham, so maybe someday.
